yea i dont think you can do it directly from windows, but you can do it only for shortcuts. i guess there are some programs that can change icons but i dont know anything about them.

How can i change the icon of a program?
I need to change the icon of a normal file, but when i go to propertise there is no option. the closest thing i found is icon changer, but i want it to be freeware. someone please help 0=)How can i change the icon of a program?
