Windows or XP? Here are the XP steps, they should be similar on Vista
Go to My Computer, go to Tools -%26gt; Folder Options
File Types Tab
go to the extension that you are trying to change the icon for (.doc, .xls, etc.) and click on advanced.
A new window should appear. One of the options is %26quot;Change Icon%26quot;
Change to the icon you want.
