How do you change a folder's icon?(windows vista)?

i am a twilight fan. i got a twilight icon and i want to change my folder icon to the twilight icon.

i went to properties and customize and change icon

when i went there i had to browse and i never could find the twilight icon :( i saved it to a particular folder and it said it contains no icons

please help me

first, you need to make sure the icon is within teh size limits.

Secondly, make sure it's the write file format.

thirdly, make sure you saved it in the right spot, which you've done already.

Fourth- click on the File Type%26gt; All Files

if you image pops up, your problem /may/ be solved.

if it pops up, you click, and it says %26quot;Wrong or unsupported file format%26quot;

then go to Paint (which comes with your computer) Open your image, and click Save As%26gt;Save as type%26gt;.gif

if that doesn't work, try some of the other file formats.
