How do you change the icon on a flash drive?

I have a flash drive and I want to change the icon on it. The icon is already on my flash drive. How can I make it the icon that you see next to the flash drive's name. If you give me directions, please be detailed and specific.How do you change the icon on a flash drive?
You need to make a short text file called %26quot;autorun.inf%26quot; in the root directory of the flash drive.

Use Notepad to make the file. Here's what you put in the file, replace icon.ico with the name and extension of the icon file:

[autorun]

icon=icon.ico

Go to File|Save, navigate to the flash drive's root folder, and type the following exactly:

%26quot;autorun.inf%26quot;

Just this once, include the quotes. They'll make sure Notepad doesn't try to save it as autorun.inf.txt. The autorun.inf file's icon should look like a text file icon with a gear on it. (At least under XP's normal icon scheme.)

If you were to look at most PC CDs in Explorer, you'd find an autorun.inf like this but with a lot more stuff in it.How do you change the icon on a flash drive?
