How to change the icon of my WD external HD?

i accidentally deleted the icon of my Western Digital HD, and now the icon looks plain. how to change the icon of my external HD without reformatting it? (since i don't want the files in my external hard drive to be deleted.) please and thank you.

Find an icon you like. You can find thousands of them by googling %26quot;western digital icon%26quot; or simply downloading an icon library. Or, you could just use .exe/program file that has a cool looking icon.



Now, open up notepad. Type



[Autorun]

Icon=iconname

Label=labelname





With %26quot;iconname%26quot; replaced by the name of your icon/exe file's name, and %26quot;labelname%26quot; replaced with whatever you want the drive to be named.



Now, save the notepad file as autorun.inf, and place it on your drive, along with the icon/exe file. viola!
